And no matter HOW MUCH of him you got [keep it G-Rated people, we're talking 1st base here! LOL] you still wanted much, MUCH MORE?

Next picture THAT guy being a casually dressed, man of few words, cool kinda dude who appreciates you for being you. He allows you to express your AUTHENTICITY freely — as often as you want, however you want. You see him now?!

Finally, imagine THAT guy reincarnated as a 21st century Social Media app that allows you to take EVERY creative, over the top, thought you’re capable of conjuring and “Pin It” to a virtual, limitless, dream board that’s a mere click-away!

Since my cocoa-brown, littlest “J” was 2 years old she’s proclaimed herself a ‘medical doctor’ and gone about her duty of diagnosing ALL our household ailments [whether we enjoy it or not!:-].

Dressed in pigtails, a lab coat with “Dr. D” embroidered on her pocket and medical bag (thanks Barnes & Noble!), J keeps us and her Barbie family healthy!

So how cool is it that in a few days Disney Junior debuts a new series, Doc McStuffins, and “Doc” looks JUST like the animated version of my Little J?!

With positive, brown-girl media images being few and far between, you gotta know we’ll be supporters of Doc McStuffins inspiring message for many moons to come!

FINALLY a brown-girl character whose neck doesn’t twirl and fingers don’t snap?!

Tis true! Doc McStuffins delivers care and healing ONLY — a far cry from the well-executed scowl and defensive posturing stereotype we’ve grown accustomed to seeing our girls [and ourselves] boast in mainstream media! Oops… pardon the slight vent!:-)

In the summer of 2010 via my FreedomTweet blog [now retired], I posted about an inspiring Invisible Children advocate, Nate Henn, who died in the July 11, 2010 Uganda bombings while watching the World Cup final.

Nate dedicated his life to advocating for the rights of East African children forced into the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). [Checkout this heartwarming YouTube tribute to Nate!]

Invisible Children is relentless not only in their efforts to see war criminal Joseph Kony brought justice for his brutal humanitarian crimes, but  steadfast in seeing the lives of rescued children restored.

Please, PLEASE take time today to learn about the work Invisible Children is doing to raise awareness with the new KONY 2012 campaign. PLEASE.

We MUST see these children. We MUST see these women. We MUST do more than shake our heads!
